KUWTK New Season Promos: A Decade of Keeping it Kardashian
In early August, just before I left for India, NBC and E! Entertainment reached out to me to photograph artwork for the new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Coincidentally, or perhaps serendipitously, it marked exactly 10 years to the week when I first met Kim Kardashian in 2007 to photograph her for a magazine cover. I don’t need to detail just how far Kim and her family have come in a decade, and I am both thrilled and fortunate to have been able to work with them continuously throughout the years.
The shoot took place at a studio in Woodland Hills, and marked the first time I’ve captured all six ladies since the 2012 Christmas Card. Kris, Kourtney, KhloĂŠ, Kendall and Kylie all looked stunning in black, while Kim, in signature form, shattered the status quo in her star-studded bodysuit. It’s always fun to work with friends, though it’s even more incredible to marvel at how much each of them has grown since our first shoots together.
Thank you to Creative Director Bret McMichael at E! for his direction and input, as well as Janelle Albino, Cameron Cohen and Erin Clarry at NBC. Very special thanks to Kris Jenner and her family, and of course to our incredible Slickforce team for their artistry and unparalleled support.

Shooting the Kylie Jenner Shop Summer Lineup
Kylie Jenner recently launched her latest product line on KylieJennerShop.com. We photographed the camouflage-themed collection last month in Hollywood, with Kylie playing her own e-com model. In sync with the creative direction of the shoot, her poses were perfectly mannequin-esque.
Knowing the KJ team was planning to run the lead image on a Santa Monica Blvd. billboard, I shot the campaign on my faithful Hasselblad 503CW and Leap Aptus-II series backâthe first time I’ve used this camera since 2014.
Congrats to Kylie and her team on a successful launch that sold out the hottest items in mere minutes. See the entire collection here, and take a look at behind-the-scenes images below.

Photographing Kylie Cosmetics Summer ’16 Campaigns
This summer had us capturing and creating images non-stop for the booming Kylie Cosmetics line. In addition to the flurry of new colors make-up mogul Kylie Jenner has released throughout 2016, summer brought its share of unique launch events, including Kylie’s birthday and a Kylie & friends campaign showcasing new lip colors designed for different skin tonesâmost notably the oft-overlooked darker complexions.
The Birthday Edition series features stunning gold packaging, new eye-shadow powders, and limited-edition exclusive lip colors. We also had the pleasure of working with wonderful lip models Kayla & Lindsay from The Lip Swatch, who pursed the perfect poses for the camera.
Kylie’s crew gives new meaning to the term “squad goals”, so it was only appropriate that they would all get in front of the camera to introduce a new line of lip colors designed to complement specific skin complexions. Each of the talented ladies struck a stunning portrait on her own, though the group shots made the campaign shine brightest by capturing an unmistakable chemistry between friends.
View the campaign shots above and below, and look for exclusives on Kylie Jenner‘s and the Kylie Cosmetics‘ instagrams!

Photographing the Kylie Jenner LipKit Campaign
A few weeks ago, Kylie Jenner asked me to photograph the campaign for her upcoming LipKit line at her house in Calabasas. Each LipKit includes one of three colors of matte liquid lipstick and matching lip linerâDolce K, Candy K and True Brown K. Learn more at KylieCosmetics.com.
As most of you know, I’ve been photographing Kylie since she was 13, and it’s an absolute pleasure to watch her grow from a shy teenager into the confident 18-year-old mogul captured in the portrait above. The video will give you a brief glimpse into that history. My congrats to Kylie on the launch of a product that will no doubt resonate with women around the world. Special thanks to our talented glam squad who, as always, help us bring our art to life.

Kylie Turns 18: Ranking our Best Kylie Jenner Shoots
Few people can claim to have accomplished so much before turning 18. Already a fashionista, a TV star, a Balmain model and the #1 most popular person on Snapchat, Kylie Jenner clearly has plenty of momentum heading into adulthood.
The SlickforceStudio team is proud to have played a small part in Kylie’s meteoric rise, as she did her very first professional shoot right here at our studio five years ago. Since then, the younger half of Jenneration K has returned in front of our cameras many times to further grow her brand.
Last month, we asked you to rank our best Kylie Jenner shoots. You voted, and now here are the Top 5. To see the full list (voting remains open), click here.
Click on the titles for more info, full galleries, and behind-the-scenes of the shoots. And if you’re still itching for more Kylie after that, you can view every shoot we’ve ever done together right here.

Khloe Kardashian’s Sexy Black Latex Shoot – Lighting Setup
This summer, I photographed good friend KhloĂŠ Kardashian in super-sexy black latex for a personal project of hers. The shoot was featured in Season 8’s “Life’s a Beach (House)” episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The risquĂŠ shoot quickly went viral, and we’ve been overwhelmed with requests from both photographers and Kardashian fans to get a closer look at Khloe’s shoot.
Here are a few of the final shots, some behind-the-scenes images, and a detailed lighting diagram of the setup. Photographers should note the amount of negative fill (4×8 solids) used in the setupâas black latex reflects everything. My thanks to the stunning KhloĂŠ for trusting us with such a wild concept, and to the amazing stunt team that rigged the hanging swing and taught our star how to fly!

WMB 3D: Kendall & Kylie Jenner at Ultimate Graveyard
In Issue 3 of WMB 3D: World’s Most Beautiful, I brought two of my favorite rising starlets out to Ultimate Graveyard for an apocalyptic shoot-to-remember. Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s fashion feature was styled by the insanely talented Monica Rose, who found the perfect pieces to complement the decaying location.
Here is a backstage look at the making of this shoot, with wonderful production images by photographer Joyce Park. WMB 3D #3 is available now for iPhone, iPad, and on Google Play. And check out the video below for a closer look at the shoot!

Behind the Scenes: Shooting Arthur George for Neiman Marcus
Last week at SlickforceStudio, we photographed the Arthur George designer sock line for Neiman Marcus. Created by Rob Kardashian, Arthur George features wild designs for both guys and girls, ranging from socks to stocking to leggings.
After seeing just how bright and colorful so many of the designs were, I opted for a neutral photography palette to allow the socks to pop. The models did a wonderful job of showcasing the brand, and I give them a lot of credit for proudly conveying a young, energetic label. Having photographed both Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s very first modeling shoots, it is also awesome to witness just how comfortable they have become in front of the camera.
Congratulations to Rob Kardashian and John Burtzloff on producing an amazing campaign. Look for Arthur George at your nearest Neiman Marcus store or visit agsocks.com for more info!
